Holetown is just a 5-minute drive away. The new state-of-the -art ‘Massy’ supermarket is also found for all your grocery requirements with a large selection of 'Waitrose' items and a pharmacy. Limegrove Lifestyle Centre is also located in Holetown, and definitely worth checking out. Offering high-end shops, a fantastic air-conditioned Cinema screening the latest movies, a supermarket and a selection of cool foodie haunts. Here you will also find a 24-hour Medical Centre at Sunset Crest, Banks, Police station & Fuel. 1st and 2nd Street in Holetown a five minute drive from Sugar Hill this is where the nightlife.
There is a variety of restaurants and bars to keep everyone. The two roads run parallel to each other. If you are driving then both of these roads are one way. These two streets are full of restaurants from
Indian to Italian. Italian at Spago, which is on 2nd Street. French cuisine and fresh seafood, then The Mews on 2nd Street. This restaurant has a large bar area and usually have live entertainment on Friday nights.
Beaches and more
All beaches on Barbados are free. So sit under a beach umbrella with a cool drink, or jump right into the clearest, crystal water you could expect to find anywhere in the world! Barbados boasts over 60 beaches across 70 square miles. The island's shores are as varied and unique.
The west coast offers calm waters and white beaches, while the eastern shoreline has Atlantic trade winds and thunderous waves for the best surfing spots in the world.
The nearest beach to Sugar Hill is just a 2 minute drive or a 10/15 minute walk from Sweet Lime Villa, the nearest beach, Alleyne's Bay Beach, arguably the best beach on the West Coast! With access to Catamarans, paddle boards, swimming with turtles and many other water activities, you’ll never find yourself short of things to do! Many beaches have sun beds and umbrellas for hire and small beach bar selling wonderful food and drink.
Alternatively, it is just a short drive to many other beaches such as Paynes Bay, Mullins & Sandy Lane.

Cricket
Barbados lives and breathes cricket. It is the Caribbean’s national sport.
Many international matches are played at the Kensington Oval Stadium near Bridgetown.
Horse racing
Horse racing with regular meeting at local race tracks. The Sandy Lane Gold Cup is Barbados' largest horse racing event and one of the most prestigious in the Caribbean.
Polo
Polo is very popular in Barbados and is home to five international standard fields, Barbados Polo Club (Holders Field) in St. James, Lion Castle in St. Thomas & Apes Hill Polo Club in St. James, Clifton in St. Thomas & Buttals in St. George. The polo season in Barbados runs from January to May each year. Several international teams come to the island to participate in matches. Apes Hill Polo Club is 10 minutes by car from Sugar Hill and provides world-class Polo, with its full-sized field, it is one of the best in the West Indies. Polo matches are scheduled a few times weekly throughout the various polo clubs. On match days, a full bar is in operation along with tea and light food.
Golf
There are six golf courses in Barbados to choose from including the impressive 2 courses at Sandy.
Apes Hill Golf Course is a 10-minute drive from Sugar Hill and is about 1000 feet above sea level. Grassland, lakes, and quarries surround it. The Royal Westmoreland Golf Course is just a few minutes away. This par 72 course is ideal for any level of golfer. This course has ocean views and tropical landscapes as well as a driving range and comfortable clubhouse.
Water sports
All types of water sports can be found on nearby beaches including Scuba & Snorkelling, paddle boarding, water skiing, and kite surfing being just a few. Other sports such as Fishing Charters & Tours can be arranged at Sugar Hill.
Karting
There is also Karting Experience at bushy Park with floodlit tracks.
Getting Around Barbados
It is possible to get to virtually any place on the island by public bus, taxi or rental car.
Barbados is a small island. It is 34 kilometres (21 miles) long and up to 23 km (14 mi) wide, covering an area of 439 km2 (169 sq mi) so nowhere takes too long to get to, and there is a wide choice of options to suit your lifestyle and budget.
